Mortgage Amortization with Paydown Plans Analysis

This is a custom version of the Mortgage Amortization with Paydown calculator which let’s you select specific custom plans of paying down your mortgage - with two general options:

1 - Round to the nearest $n: This is inspired by the financial Blogger J.Money who’s post on this topic laid out the value of a consistent paydown model of rounding each payment up to the nearest next $100. This spreadsheet lets you use any roundup value, and even decide to round up every nth payment (every n months).

2 - Decide a specific amount you will pay every month, or other month or n months. This is a simple plan to add a small or large amount over the life of the loan to help bring your principal down over time and reduce the total interest paid and shorten the life of your loan.
